We re-opened in March 2011 but already The Sparling has people talking.

Surrounded by lush gardens and blossom trees, The Sparling is a familiar sight to you as you drive along the A6 through Barton but new owners, Neal and Gillian Tripp, have plenty of fresh ideas to bring a new lease of life to your old favourite - including a brand new menu guaranteed to tempt your taste buds.

The Sparling is a place of fusion, a place where traditional meets modern. Wooden beams and leather sofas lend it a timeless charm, yet the contemporary fireplaces and modern dining furniture let you know it isn’t behind the times. This clever combination is mirrored in our menu too, where you’ll find plenty of old favourites nestling alongside more elaborate dishes which wouldn’t look out of place on a the menu of a 5* hotel.
